WM-35

(1986)

The WM-35, despite being a fairly basic machine, was able to claim a “world’s first”, as it was the first Walkman that could float. This development advanced the “sports” concept a little further, but in truth a floating cassette player was of novelty interest only. To many, “floating” also meant “large and with a light, flimsy build”. Text copyright © Walkman Central. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

The WM-35 offered simple functions only, single direction play, a normal/chrome - metal tape selector and no Dolby NR. Text copyright © Walkman Central. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.
